If you gaze around, you will find numerous well-known personalities who were alcoholics. Several alcoholics have achieved reputation over time; some of these persons have battled their craving to alcohol in front of the community, while only some others became well known after they overpowered their alcoholic syndrome.
Drug addiction and alcoholism has become a nuisance for the society. It is very difficult to get rid of. It can be debated that it is very difficult for an addict to completely get rid of the habit. Although, by doing certain things and adopting certain methods, we can at least help the addict get out of this predicament.
Indulgence in alcoholism or any other type of drug addiction is a major cause of getting into complex situations. The alcoholic himself, as well as his family, suffer from inexplicable turmoil from this bad habit. An alcoholic not only brings bad reputation to his personal name and character but his entire family is, in most of the cases, victimized by the negative attitude of the society towards them. The problem is not limited to the society alone; it encompasses all major and minor areas of personal and collective lives.
